Bright Blue for Baby Boy Brown

Congrats to the Browns. Agatha, Jeff and Lillian are expecting a baby boy next month, and I will once again be an Auntie (for the fifth time, I've had a little practice). Check out what I made for him. The octopus fabric I used is from the Mendocino collection by Heather Ross.

Promenade Blanket and Stuffy Beach Ball

Octopus appliqued onesie.

The whole shebang...Promenade Blanket, Quilt-a-go-go, onesie and Beach ball...I think it looks even cuter in person.

Coffee and Cake for baby boy Brown.

Unfortunately I had to miss Agatha's baby shower, hosted by Greta. I sent a little decor in my place. I did my best to coordinate with the shower invitations made by Ott Designs (aka Greta and Tim). Looks like the shower was a success. Sorry I had to miss it.

All things pink, mermaid and seahorse

At Aggie's request I made these PROMENADE blankets and onesies for some very special twin girls. Although it may be some time before they fit into these onesies, the blankets can be used immediately. I'll let Mom and Dad, or Aggie decided which one is for Gemma and which one is for Sasha.

And of course another set for Mara's soon to be baby girl...who can deny a girl whose three favorite things are pink, mermaids, and seahorses??

I never knew seahorses had so many fans.

Baby Booties

I was trying to keep up with my blog..I figured I could at least commit to one post a week, but I didn't even manage to keep that up. But I did sew this weekend. I tried out another tutorial/pattern I found online. Check out my baby kimono booties.

Here they are posing with the invitation Greta made for Aggie's baby shower
They are pretty cute but I'm not sure if they are practical as I have no small baby feet to try them on. Maybe they can just be decoration. Everyone needs a pair of ornamental baby booties..right? Make yours today.

At my mother's request I am back on the sewing wagon. This weekend I made this Buttercup Bag from a free pattern I saw online. This is one of the patterns I included in my mom's sewing notebook, so I thought I would try it out. It turned out pretty cute. What to you think?

Word to your Mother.

OK. So I know it has been a LONG LONG time since my last post. But you know, sometimes you just don't feel so crafty. But now my mom is giving me a hard time (HI MOM!). "Update your blog" she demanded, so I guess I'd better do as my mom tells me. After all it is mothers day. So here is a little card I made for the occasion.

It was simple to make. First I sewed a few lines across the front of the card, then I used an x-acto blade to cut out the pennant flags. Next I attached a scrap of fabric to the right side of the inside of the card. TA DA. This left little room to write a message, but really I don't have that much to say anyways.

I also put together a little sewing notebook for my mom. I printed some tutorials and copied some projects out of a few sewing books I thought she might like. I was careful not to included anything I didn't like, because if I know my mom, and I think I do, she will make 20 of everything in that binder and we will all receive one of each by Christmas. Right MOM?

Anyway. Happy Mother's Day to all my mother friends and of course my MOM. Thanks for passing down the sewing bug. Although I'm not always sewing, I am happy when I am.
